The last of my shopping

The town my parents live now has a quilt shop. The Cottage Rose Quilt Shop. A lovely little shop that I found as I was driving down one of the main streets. It is full of Moda! So I decided to finally get myself a Jelly Roll :)) It is the Folklorique by Fig Tree. I have a small bundle of fat quarters of this fabric as well. I am quite looking forward to making a quilt with my new Jelly Roll. I also decided to buy the Amy Butler Frenchy bag pattern - like I need another bag pattern!!

Of course when I got home I looked at the "Fat Quarter Shop" sale items and I could have bought the Jelly Roll for half the price from them. Ah, but I was supporting a new little quilt shop. I also bought a couple of fat quarter for my Dear Jane quilt. So - now it is time to get back to quilting - enough shopping!! So I guess I shouldn't tell that my local quilt shop was having a 25-75% sale on the weekend and I did go..... but I just bought some backing for a flimsy that I have waiting to be finished.

Brave girl ! You did choose so well : that Moda fabric range is a beauty, and the bag pattern will let you make another nr 1 in the box office !(no matter how many bags you have : there are 365 days in a year ! LOL Besides, part of the pleasure is to make things we don't really need - just for fun and pleasure !)

    Hugs & smiles, Pam !

  2. Hey, you changed your banner and you now have a count down until your retirement! Wow! What a loot you came home with! I like supporting quilt shops myself. Love that bag pattern. I still haven't made that weekender bag from Amy. Soon I guess. Keep well and enjoy your goodies!

  3. Everything you bought is terrific! I have such a weakness for Moda fat quarter bundles, charm packs and Jelly Rolls! Sigh!

  5. Thanks for stropping by and reading about the mega-furniture center. They did have a restaurant there for lunch, luckily! We didn't get lost because they issue maps, too! You did well on your shopping venture, it's always very commendable to support a new quilt shop! Love that Frenchy bag!!

  10. It is important to support the local quilt shops at least some of the time if we want them to be there when we need them. If you had only seen it on the internet, you might not have bought it, anyway. How's the DJ coming along?

You've acquired some great fabrics in the last couple of weeks!

  12. I really like the Moda line, however, I have never bought the jelly rolls. I may have to take a look at the Fat Quarter Shop.
