I came home to two packages waiting for me at the post office.
The first is a book that was sent by Angela. Thank you so much Angela. I have already started using it, I will keep my little ideas and patterns that I find in books and in my blog travels :))
Next I got my order of fabric from the Fat Quarter Shop. I bought a selection of Amy Butler fat quarters. Plus I also got a collection of the Folklorique Fig Tree reds and blues. They were on sale. As well as a double charm pack of Aunt Gracie fabric. And -- no, I have no idea what I am going to do with any of the fabric :)) I am getting quite a collection of Amy Butler fat quarters - and I still have the Japanese quilt pattern that Jenni sent me way back when. I think that quilt would be perfect for the fabric. So I guess I do have a bit of a plan.
It is always so nice to come home to mail :))
The weather is still very "unsummer" like here but I have a very weedy garden that needs some TLC this week.
I was feeling guilty today about my half finished 'quilt' from that pattern I sent you. It is still hanging on the wall looking very sad and droopy. I just pin things over the top of it now!
ReplyDeletenice materials have sewing them up....
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely mail to come home to! Love that craft journal - you'll have fun using it.
ReplyDeleteFun mail waiting for you! A wonderful "welcome home".
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to get packages in the mail. Glad you got to come home to some treasures. Now you just need to dream up the quilt for those lovely fabrics
ReplyDeleteWelcome back - glad you made it safely. And since you came back to fun mail, you can avoid the back-home back to work blahs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics,
ReplyDeleteI think now you have a great and big collection!!!

Fabrics!! Just the right thing to welcome one home! I wish you lots of fun with them. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGreat things to come home too....that journal is sooooo cute, ull have great fun keeping ideas and notes in there....cant wait to see what u do with the fabric
ReplyDeleteOh my a lovely package to come home to. They are very cheery fabrics and the journal is special. How do you find the mail delivery? It seems it takes 3 to 4 weeks for me to get anything from the US.
ReplyDeleteAt least the wait was productive! Lovely mail you received. I've never cared for Amy Butler designs, so now you will make a gorgeous quilt and change my mind, right? Then I'll be forced to go out and buy a collection of fabric!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Susan ! I have a few Amy Butler FQ's from a fabric club and don't know what to do with them. Will wait with bated breath to see what you do with them -lol !
ReplyDeleteNice to get away but so nice to come home -- welcome back!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Such nice goodies!! Oh how I love the fabric! I promised myself I can not possibly buy anymore fabric this summer until I reduce my stash!! I never thought I would be a "reduce my stash" kind of gal, but my sewing room is part of the family room in the public part of the house, so I must keep it semi-respectable!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
